A very thought provoking article and the bit on having "....a strong inner drive and motivating passion for what they do. They simply can’t help themselves—they are fueled to go!" really rang true. I take the camera around alot of the time on my journeys but it often doesn't make it out of the bag - only when I feel a connection with something does it make me want to think about taking a photo. I was inspired by Colion Prior's comment on photography being about subtraction - deciding what it was that caught your eye and thinking about how to portray that thing that evoked a spark in you in the most fundamental way. A million things still to learn, but I am enjoying the journey and trying out new ideas. On the rare occasions that everything one can't control line up for a transient moment, in a place that reaches out to the soul - it is osmething so special that it is hard to put into words and one can only hope that the photo is a record of that emotion.

Really enjoyed looking at your work

Creativity, where does it come from? Always such a great topic to "chew" on. In my book, Creativity/The Seeker's Journey, one of the chapters is titled Passion, Desire & Commitment. In every field of the arts, there are the genius', however that is the exception. Most of us have to work at it...really work at it. This is where the passion, desire and commitment come in to play. Develop the passion for your medium, feed the desire by doing the work, and make the commitment to stick to it. This is what develops the creativity in those of us that lack the genius genetics!
