"Nothing is ever as scary as you think it will be". It's absolutely amazing how you can get lost into someone's writing for a few minutes as if you yourself were standing on that same massive peak feeling that same 'sewing machine leg'. AMAZING post Jay!! I've always dreamed of making a first decent in Alaska's backcountry. Someday hopefully I can cross that off my bucket list... but until then, thank you for taking me to that precipice for a few minutes and allowing me to live vicariously through your writing.
